What to know before you visit.

Is Santa there every day?

No — we're open on select days between November 28 and December 23, with weekday evenings and weekend/holiday hours that vary by date. Check the full hours schedule before you plan your visit.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, but walk-ups are welcome as space allows. Either way, there's no physical line — check in from your phone, and we'll text you when it's your turn.

Is there a fee to book?

A $19.99 deposit is due when you reserve your time. It's not an extra cost — it's applied directly to your package total when you check out on-site.

Will we have to stand in line?

No. Check in from your phone when you arrive, then go enjoy the rest of the center — you can see your estimated wait time the whole time, and we'll notify you when Santa's ready.

What if it rains?

Citadel Outlets is an open-air center. We monitor weather closely and have a comfort and contingency plan in place; if conditions require it, we'll reach out to move or refund affected reservations.

How long does a session take?

Most families are in and out in about fifteen minutes, from check-in to photo. Weekend afternoons can run a little longer at peak times.

When do we get our photos?

Prints are ready the same day, before you leave. Every guest also gets a text and email with a link to a private online gallery — digital images are included starting with the Signature package, with more included at each tier up through Elite, and anyone can order more from the gallery afterward.

Can I take my own photos while we wait?

Of course — feel free to capture the moment on your phone. Professional session images are captured by our photographers to keep the line moving for everyone.

Can I reschedule?

Yes. Use the link in your confirmation email to move your reservation to another available time, subject to availability.

Our Santa set is on-site at Citadel Outlets, 100 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA 90040 — just off the Santa Ana Freeway (I-5), a short drive from Los Angeles, Downey, Montebello, Whittier, and the greater Orange County area. Citadel Outlets' Renaissance-castle architecture makes it easy to spot, and the center offers ample on-site parking.

Photo consent

A signed photo release from a parent or guardian is required for every child photographed. This is collected at check-in and covers use of images for order fulfillment.

Payment & pricing

A $19.99 deposit is due at booking to secure your reservation and is applied toward your package total when you check out on-site. Sitting fees and printed products are itemized separately at checkout, and sales tax applies to printed products in accordance with California law.

Refunds & cancellations

Reservations can be rescheduled or cancelled from your confirmation email. Refund eligibility depends on timing and whether products have already been printed — contact us directly for specifics.

Weather

As an open-air venue, Citadel Outlets is subject to weather. We'll always try to reschedule before cancelling outright, and will communicate directly if your visit is affected.
